Job Title: Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team on the 2nd shift. This role involves mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, welding, and fabrication in an industrial setting.
Responsibilities
+ Perform mechanical troubleshooting on gears, pulleys, bearings, motors, and conveyors.
+ Conduct electrical troubleshooting, including working with VFDs, motors, and basic electrical systems.
+ Utilize skills in welding and fabrication to repair and maintain equipment.
+ Troubleshoot 480 Volt systems and PLCs.
+ Engage in preventive maintenance and projects on Fridays.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting, particularly with gears, conveyor systems, motors, and belts.
+ Experience in electrical troubleshooting, understanding electrical prints, VFDs, and PLC systems.
+ Strong welding and fabrication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with shredding machines is a plus.

Work Environment
The work environment is a large warehouse with a dusty and dirty atmosphere due to shredded paper and pellets. The facility is not temperature controlled. The 2nd shift runs from 3 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday to Thursday, with flexible start/end times within an hour. Fridays are dedicated to preventive maintenance and projects.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Byron Center, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
