Job Title: Diesel Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on ready-mix trucks. The role requires expertise in various mechanical systems and a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on ready-mix trucks.
+ Inspect, adjust, and replace components in air brake systems.
+ Troubleshoot and repair pumps, valves, and cylinders in hydraulic systems.
+ Diagnose and repair wiring, lighting, and control systems in electrical systems.
+ Maintain compliance with EPA standards and perform diagnostics on DEF emission systems.
+ Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve engine performance issues.
+ Perform preventive maintenance services according to manufacturer and company schedules.
+ Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all repairs and inspections.
+ Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform field repairs when necessary.
+ Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and company policies.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in diesel mechanics and troubleshooting.
+ Experience with hydraulics, electrical, and brake systems.
+ Knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics and repairs.
+ Ability to perform emission diagnostics and engine rebuilds.
+ Skills in using diagnostic tools and maintaining service records.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to fabricate brackets, mounts, and perform minor structural repairs.
+ Experience with in-frame and out-of-frame engine overhauls.
+ Skills in servicing and repairing propane, electric, and diesel-powered forklifts.
+ Experience in maintaining shop equipment, tools, and machinery.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
