    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform mechanical troubleshooting on gears, bearings, and sprockets, as well as troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480V 3-phase. You will work with motors, motor relays, starters, and sensors on robots or PLCs, and collaborate with lower-level technicians to repair facility-wide issues.

    Responsibilities

    + Repair or troubleshoot plant-wide equipment and machinery, including 89 Fanuc Robots, PLCs, conveyor systems, ovens, and smaller hydraulic presses.

    + Perform electrical troubleshooting up to 480V 3-phase and conduct automation work on PLCs, including ladder logic, motor controls, servo drives, and VFDs.

    + Devote 80% of your time to reactionary or preventative maintenance.

    + Spend 20% of your time on equipment integration, such as adding robots to conveyor systems and collaborating with Control Engineers to reprogram or add devices.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years of Industrial Maintenance Electrician experience.

    + Ability to mechanically troubleshoot motors, gears, and perform tear downs.

    + Proficiency in troubleshooting up to 480V 3-phase systems, including VFDs and motors.

    + Ability to read schematics and trace down prints.

    + Capability to troubleshoot at least two of the following: Vision Systems, PLCs, or Fanuc Robots.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience training lower-level technicians is advantageous.

    + Experience troubleshooting ovens or substations is beneficial.

    + Automation experience with either high-level robotics troubleshooting or PLC experience, including reading ladder logic and making minor program changes.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment includes 2nd shift from 2pm-10:30pm and 3rd shift from 10pm-7:30am. Overtime is expected two weekends a month. The facility specializes in tempering and forming glass for windshields, with some areas reaching temperatures up to 110 degrees. Despite this, the facility is extremely clean with minimal dirt.
