CNC Operator

Job Description

As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating and fabricating pipes and metal materials. Your role will involve checking parts for physical defects, identifying parts to print for correct identification, and ensuring the quality of finished products. You will also load and unload parts from CNC machines and assist team members in lifting and moving heavy parts throughout the day.

Responsibilities

+ Operate CNC machines to fabricate pipes and metal materials.

+ Check parts for physical defects and ensure quality standards.

+ Identify parts to print for accurate identification.

+ Load and unload parts from CNC machines.

+ Route and finish parts according to specifications.

+ Assist team members with lifting and moving heavy parts as needed.

+ Wear proper PPE including bump caps, steel toe shoes, and safety glasses.

+ Follow specific work instructions for assembly requirements.

+ Perform general cleaning of work area, including work surfaces, equipment, and floors.

+ Understand and participate in QCDSM boards and continuous improvement activities.

Essential Skills

+ General computer knowledge.

+ Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.

+ Previous machine operation experience.

+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High School Diploma or equivalent required.

+ Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.

+ Experience with machine operation

Work Environment

The work environment is a large shop with a small shop feel. It is clean but can be loud at times. . Employees are expected to wear appropriate protective gear, including bump caps, steel toe shoes, and safety glasses.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $22.00/hr.
