Job Title: General Laborer
Job Description
The general laborer will be responsible for processing titanium sheets through grinders to meet customer specifications. This role involves hands-on tasks that require attention to detail and precision.
Responsibilities
+ Physically lift and move titanium sheets in and out of the grinders using conveyors, flipping and turning the sheets as needed.
+ Visually self-inspect the sheet surface and use a grinding tool to remove any defects.
+ Use a micrometer and thickness gauge (vidigauge) to check the thickness of the titanium sheet.
+ Perform minor grinder maintenance and periodic cleaning of grinder and work area.
+ Set up machines and observe machine operation to detect any malfunctions, installing large belts on grinders.
+ Train precision sheet helpers and grinder operators.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in general labor, production, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
+ Experience with hand tools, power tools, and machine operation.
+ Ability to use tape measures, grinders, and other relevant equipment.
+ Mechanical skills including grinding, deburring, extrusion, and saw operation.
+ Attention to detail and team-oriented communication.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Manufacturing experience or experience working in industrial or outdoor environments.
+ Ability to keep up with production pace and handle redundant tasks.
+ Strong work ethic and previous machine operating experience is a plus.

Work Environment
The role operates in a warehouse and production environment with rotating shifts from 6AM-6PM and 6PM-6AM. The environment is not climate controlled, so it can get very hot. This team-oriented position promotes collaboration to achieve common goals. Once fully trained, employees will have autonomy and will not be micromanaged. Required PPE includes metatarsal shoes, safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and chemical-resistant metatarsal boots, all provided by the employer.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WASHINGTON, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.63 - $21.63/hr.
