Job Title: 2nd Shift Picker

Job Description

In this role, you will support the production floor and engineering team by pulling small part products and delivering them to the production lines. You will utilize hand carts, bins, and both automatic and manual pallet jacks to handle materials effectively. Additionally, you will use a computer to identify and print pick lists, perform packaging and kitting of sub-assembly parts, and verify part numbers, quantities, locations, and work orders to ensure accuracy.

Responsibilities

+ Pull and deliver small part products to production lines.

+ Utilize hand carts, bins, and pallet jacks for material handling.

+ Identify and print pick lists using a computer.

+ Perform packaging and kitting of sub-assembly parts.

+ Verify part numbers, quantities, locations, and work orders.

+ Ensure production needs are met on time by leading by example.

Essential Skills

+ 1+ year of picking experience required.

+ 6+ months of kitting experience required.

+ 1+ year of RF scanner usage required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with order picking, packing, and inventory control.

+ Knowledge of electric pallet jack operation.

+ GED or higher education level required.

+ Certifications from higher education are considered beneficial.

Work Environment

This position operates on the 2nd Shift from 2 pm to 10:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Training will be conducted on the 1st shift for 1-3 weeks, with a flexible schedule from 6 am to 4:30 pm. Personal protective equipment includes a provided smock and safety shoes, with a warehouse area located on the 2nd floor next to a large production area. Supervisors and leads manage material flow from an upstairs location. Note that forklift operation is not permitted for temporary employees.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $23.00/hr.
