Our Client is seeking a candidate with experience integrating AI/ML services into production applications. The selected candidate will design and implement backend services for our client's application platform with primary focus on integrating AI/ML capabilities into the production systems. This role involves architecting RESTful APIs and microservices that process sensitive data, requiring exceptional attention to performance optimization and scalability.

Candidate will spend approximately 60% of their time on AI/NLP integration projects including implementing Azure Cognitive Services, building data pipelines for model consumption, and creating APIs that expose AI capabilities to frontend applications. The remaining 40% will focus on architecture modernization efforts including refactoring legacy systems, optimizing database queries and stored procedures, and establishing patterns for cloud-native application design.

Candidate will work closely with data scientists and frontend teams to ensure seamless integration of AI features while maintaining data security standards. This position requires deep technical expertise in both traditional enterprise backend development and emerging AI/ML integration patterns. Candidates needs to navigate ambiguous requirements, communicate technical decisions clearly to both technical and business stakeholders, and proactively surface risks and blockers.

Required Skills:

+ Proven experience integrating AI/ML services into production applications (Azure Cognitive Services, OpenAI, or similar platforms)

+ 7+ years of backend software development experience in enterprise environments with C#.NET Core/ASP.NET Core for designing and implementing RESTful Web APIs and microservices architectures

+ Solid expertise with Entity Framework Core, SQL Server, and T-SQL including query optimization and performance tuning

+ Experience with Azure AD B2C for authentication and authorization

+ Azure cloud services experience (App Services, Azure Functions, Service Bus, or similar)

Preferred Skills:

+ Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline experience

+ AI/ML model deployment and monitoring experience.

+ Microservices orchestration and event-driven architecture patterns

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $82.00/hr.
