Exciting Entry-Level Cable Technician Opportunity – Paid Lodging + Per Diem!

Our client is hiring multiple Entry-Level Cable Technicians for an incredible project at a Meta Data Center. This is a unique chance to start your career in structured cabling and learn from industry experts on a large-scale build.

+ Competitive pay: $20–$23/hr for Level 1 techs; $24–$27/hr for those with 2+ years of fiber experience

+ Hands-on training in cabling and fiber optics at one of the most advanced data centers in the world

What You’ll Learn & Do:

+ Pull Cat5/Cat6 cable and fiber

+ Learn color codes, punch-down techniques, and fiber termination

+ Install cable trays, pathways, and build server racks

+ Work alongside experienced techs and team leads to build out critical infrastructure

Skills That Will Make You Stand Out:

+ Cabling experience (Cat5, Cat6, fiber)

+ Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to work flexible hours (including 10–12 hour shifts, 6 days/week if needed)

Experience Level:

Entry-level candidates welcome! If you have prior fiber experience in a data center, you’ll qualify for higher pay.

This is a Contract position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
