    $18-$20 Hourly

     

    This position isPart Time,up to 30hrs per week. Flexible hours and days within SCAP's normal business hours.

    Responsibilities

    + Answer multi-line phone system; take clear, concise messages and direct calls to appropriate persons using a customer friendly approach.

    + Greet Customers and business associates with a pleasant and professional demeanor, determine reason for coming to SCAP and professionally assist them as needed.

    + Responsible for timely and accurate data collection, data entry and generating reports from databases as requested. Ensure this function is up to date at all times.

    + Maintain up-to-date customer files, including electronic files, in an organized and retrievable manner and complete file audits as requested. Conduct routine and timely follow-up of customer’s referrals, applications, etc.

    + Support systems for enrollment, recruitment, selection, eligibility and attendance (ERSEA) and assist with recruitment efforts designed to actively inform families with eligible children.

    + Maintain agency-approved tracking system(s) for reports, applications and administrative tasks in an updated, retrievable and accurate manner. Conduct data entry and retrieval as directed.

    + Cover for the Pre-K Program Secretary as needed in the absence of the Pre-K Program Assistant, ensuring the front desk reception is covered in an efficient and secure manner.

    Qualifications

    Requirements

    + Associate’s Degree and three (3) years related and progressive experience. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

    + Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills with good knowledge of appropriate boundaries and exercising confidential protocols.

    + Must be able to answer multi-line phone system, demonstrate organizational skills and manage multiple priorities while providing a high level of professional support.

    + Proficient and experienced in the use of technology. Experience with Microsoft Office Products, databases and other software required.

    + Must provide on a biennial basis a physical from a licensed health care provider, clearing you under New York State Day Care regulations.

    + Background check is required prior to employment as required by NYS Day Care regulations and Federal Head Start Performance Standards.

    + Knowledge and understanding of issues related to individuals and families in poverty. Ability to build upon the strengths of those we serve with diverse racial, cultural, social, educational and economic backgrounds, including high risk populations, to provide high-level services and lasting solutions to fit each individual’s and family’s needs.
