Job Description
Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company, is seeking a Senior Java Developer at our client in Minneapolis, MN.
Qualifications include:
+ Experienced Java/Spring Boot Developer with strong core Java fundamentals and hands-on expertise in Kafka or webhook-based streaming, MemSQL, and deployment within OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
+ Ideal candidate will design, build, and optimize high-performance, scalable services and data pipelines while collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
+ Build and optimize streaming integrations using Kafka or webhook-based event flows.
+ Work with MemSQL (SingleStore) for high-performance data storage, querying, and processing.
+ Deploy, monitor, and manage applications within OCP (OpenShift Container Platform).
+ Ensure code quality through best practices, including unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
+ Collaborate with product owners, architects, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.
+ Troubleshoot production issues and drive improvements in performance, resilience, and observability.
+ Contribute to architectural discussions and advocate for best-in-class engineering practices.
+ Document system designs, APIs, and technical processes for clarity and sustainability.
The base range for this contract position is $70.00 - $100.00 per hour, depending on experience; pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
