Job Description
AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a CAD Specialist III in Denver, CO.
Job details:
+ Perform both routine and non-routine, complex drafting and design assignments that require judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations
+ Use applications to scale and edit assignments involving the use of computer-aided design and drafting equipment and other graphics software (e.g., CADD software) to achieve set results and deadlines
+ Digitize or trace sketches or concepts from designers using CADD software
+ Make decisions with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines
+ Follow specific, standardized procedures to achieve set results and deadlines
+ Receive little instruction on daily work and general instructions on new assignments
+ Prepare Civil 3D project deliverables for assigned projects
+ Prepare and modify designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and working drawings
+ Work on a variety of projects to accomplish deliverables related to Civil 3D surfaces creation, corridor, cross sections, volume calculations, and grading
+ May telecommute
Qualifications
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related field and 2 years of work experience in job offered or in a related occupation.
Alternatively, employer will accept 4 years of work experience in job offered or in a related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:
1. AutoCAD Civil 3D
2. General understating of site development, access roads, channels, dams, slope stabilization, retaining walls, detention ponds, surface drainage, stream restoration and tailing mines
3. Knowledge of dams including both earth and rock fill and associated structures
4. Knowledge of mine tailing storage facilities and all site elements
5. Ability to take direction and simple sketches from engineers to develop and produce various project drawings using CADD software
6. Perform both routing and non-routine drafting assignments, scale, and editing assignments
7. BIM360/ACC, ProjectWise, and Google Earth

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $95139 to $119848.
