Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support elementary campuses in Killeen, TX for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year. This campus-based role begins December 8, 2025.

Position Details

+ Location: Killeen, TX

+ Start Date: December 8, 2025

+ End Date: May 28, 2026

+ Schedule: Monday–Friday

+ Hours: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (37 hours/week)

+ Duration: 36 weeks

+ Modality: In-person only

+ Pay Rate: $49/hr

+ Campus: Assignment determined upon offer

Responsibilities

+ Plan and implement curriculum using effective teaching strategies tailored to student needs

+ Develop and draft IEP goals and objectives in collaboration with ARD committees

+ Participate in ARD meetings and provide required documentation

+ Conduct formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress

+ Maintain accurate records (attendance, progress reports, updated IEPs)

+ Serve as case manager for assigned students

+ Collaborate with general education teachers for inclusion support

+ Implement behavior management strategies and classroom routines

+ Communicate regularly with families regarding academic and behavioral progress

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)

+ Valid Texas teaching certificate (EC-12 Special Education + EC-6 Core or 4-8 Generalist required)

+ Minimum 1 year teaching experience (preferred)

+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

+ CPR, TB screening, and health certificate (if applicable)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Minimum age: 18
