School Counselor / School Mental Health Worker

Join our team as a School Counselor / School Mental Health Worker and help create a safe, supportive environment where young learners can thrive. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with Pre-K through 2nd grade students, providing counseling and guidance that truly impacts lives.

What You’ll Do

+ Provide individual and group counseling to students facing emotional, behavioral, or social challenges.

+ Help students develop coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, and build resilience.

+ Collaborate with families, teachers, and school staff to foster a positive learning environment.

+ Facilitate referrals to community-based mental health services when needed.

+ Contribute to school-wide mental health initiatives that make a lasting difference.

Minimum Requirements

+ Licensing/Certification per state and facility guidelines.

+ Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, Sociology, Addictions, or related field (Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s as required).

+ Compliance with professional standards of practice.

+ Current CPR (if applicable).

+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray (if applicable).

+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation).

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

+ Must be at least 18 years old.
