    **Location:** Sacramento, CA

    **Duration:** 12 months

     

    CTG is seeking a Data Inventory Analyst to support enterprise-wide data governance and privacy compliance initiatives. This role focuses on performing quality assurance for sensitive data inventories, applying privacy taxonomies, and ensuring proper classification of personal and regulated data (PII, PHI, financial data). The analyst will manage workflows, support governance platforms, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and remediate data privacy risks.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Conduct QA reviews of sensitive data inventories for accuracy and compliance.

    + Apply privacy taxonomies and categorize data by type, jurisdiction, retention, and processing purpose.

    + Manage data inventory workflows and support data governance platforms.

    + Partner with teams to identify and mitigate privacy risks.

    + Assist in training and enablement on data privacy practices.

    Skills & Expertise:

    + Data classification, privacy impact assessments, regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).

    + SQL proficiency for querying and validating data.

    + Experience with data governance tools (Collibra, OneTrust, BigID, Informatica).

    + Familiarity with metadata management, data mapping, and lineage tracking.

    + Knowledge of access control/identity governance systems (SailPoint, Okta, Azure AD).

    + Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

    Experience & Education:

    + Background in data inventory, governance, or privacy compliance.

    + Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Management, or equivalent experience.

     

    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

    The expected base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,00. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
