    Job Title:** **Sealant Technician

    **Job Type:** Full-Time; Consultant (6-Month Contract)

    **Location:** North Charleston, SC 29418

    **Schedule:** Monday–Friday; must be willing and able to work any shift based on business needs

    **Pay Rate:** $26–$36 per hour

    Position Overview

    The Sealant Technician performs complex production and assembly operations on structural components, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories. This role requires expertise in using both manual and automated tools and strict adherence to technical documentation and specifications.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Perform complex assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, and aircraft systems.

    + Interpret, comprehend, and follow technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications.

    + Apply sealants to surfaces in accordance with engineering and manufacturing requirements.

    + Install various aircraft system components, including panel installations.

    + Operate a variety of mechanical lifts (e.g., ladders, tiger lifts, snorkel lifts).

    + Use specialized tools including rivet guns, bucking bars, screwdrivers, lock bolt pullers, power screwdrivers, C-squeezes, ratchet wrenches, nut runners, Winslow tools, 90-degree power vanes, Quackenbush tools, and other standard hand tools.

    + Work with chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints, and specialty finishes.

    + Receive required training and certification to work in confined spaces.

    + Perform bonding and grounding measurements.

    + Conduct in-tank sealing for fuel tanks and other structural compartments.

    + Perform fuel tank washing and preparation tasks.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    + **7+ years of aviation experience required**

    + Proficiency with:

    + Microsoft Office & Outlook

    + CAD/3D drawing programs

    + Internet Explorer

    + Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents, specifications, and engineering drawings.

    + Ability to work in confined spaces and obtain necessary certifications.

    + Experience with chemical application, sealants, adhesives, primers, and coatings.

    **Pay Details:** $26.00 to $27.00 per hour
