**Description:** You will be the Systems Administrator for the Advanced Concepts Lab \(ACL\) – a cutting edge team within Lockheed Martin’s Advanced Technology Laboratories \(ATL\) that drives innovation\. The Advanced Technology Laboratories Business Operations team drives breakthrough research and development across multiple engineering and scientific disciplines\.
What You Will Be Doing:
As the Systems Administrator you will be responsible for delivering reliable, secure, and high performance IT services that enable breakthrough research and development\.
Your responsibilities will include:
•Select, install, configure, and integrate hardware and software to meet demanding program requirements\.
•Document and automate administration procedures while partnering with engineering and test teams\.
•Apply best practice management across Windows, Linux, and VMware vSphere/ESXi environments\.
•Design and implement security solutions that satisfy customer mandates and mitigate residual risk\.
•Perform day to day system health monitoring, troubleshooting, patch management, and anti virus updates\.

Who You Are:
•You are a self starter with proven experience administering heterogeneous environments \(Windows, Linux, VMware\)\.
•You excel at scripting—especially Python—to streamline processes, and you bring deep knowledge of system monitoring, security, and performance optimization\.
•Detail oriented and an effective communicator, you collaborate seamlessly with engineers, scientists, and technical leadership\.
•You hold a relevant degree or equivalent experience and possess an active security clearance\.
Further Information About This Opportunity:
MUST BE A U\.S\. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access\. The selected candidate must possess an active Top Secret clearance to start\.

Basic Qualifications:
\* In\-depth systems administration experience with Linux
\* Demonstrated track record of successfully designing/installing new systems or adding significant new functionality to existing systems
\* Network Administration \- Ethernet switching, TCP/IP subnetting & routing \(static & dynamic\)
\* Strong troubleshooting skills\.
\* Strong oral and written communication skills
\* Current final Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain SCI access; applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Desired Skills:
Experience with or interest in developing skills in the following technical areas:
\* In\-depth systems administration experience with Windows \(including Active Directory\)
\* Experience administering OpenStack
\* Windows/Linux Integration \- Services for Unix/Subsystem for Unix\-based Applications, NFS, and Samba
\* Network Administration \- DHCP, DNS
\* Scripting/Automation \- Python, bash, Windows PowerShell, Puppet, Chef, Ansible
\* Administering systems accredited under RMF \(NISPOM and/or ICD 503\)
\* COMSEC inline network encryptors \(e\.g\., KG\-175 family\)
\* Adjacent facilities concerns \- three phase power distribution, chilled water cooling systems, copper and fiber plant cabling
**Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.
**Clearance Level:** Top Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full\-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\.
**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
