Salary: $89,481.60 ($44.74/hr.) - $104,665.60 ($50.32/hr.)
Position Overview The Director oversees a department of 12 IT professionals, including systems administrators, data analysts, IT specialists, and support staff. The role ensures secure, reliable technology services for all County departments, public safety agencies, and judicial offices. This position plays a key leadership role in modernizing systems, transitioning legacy applications to cloud environments, and managing vendor-supported solutions. Key Responsibilities
+ Lead and manage the MIS Department, including all personnel, operations, and technology initiatives.
+ Develop and implement technology strategies, cybersecurity policies, and long-range planning.
+ Oversee enterprise systems such as Tyler Technologies, PeopleGuru, and hosted court applications.
+ Manage cloud migrations, system modernization, and major technology projects.
+ Direct cybersecurity monitoring, incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
+ Oversee vendor contracts, procurement, and performance of technology service providers.
+ Collaborate with County leadership, department heads, constitutional officers, and courts.
+ Prepare and manage the department budget and present technology recommendations.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
+ Extensive experience in technology operations, systems administration, cybersecurity, or network management.
+ Demonstrated supervisory or managerial experience in an IT environment.
+ Experience with cloud platforms, enterprise software, and modernization initiatives preferred.
+ Experience transitioning from legacy systems (e.g., AS/400) highly desirable.
