Responsibilities
We are seeking a Copywriter–Creative Director to help guide, shape, and elevate our brand across all touchpoint. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional writing skills, capable of developing a clear and consistent brand voice while crafting compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. The ideal candidate brings experience leading copy direction, collaborating with creative teams, and ensuring messaging aligns with brand goals and values. You will play a critical role in refining our tone, developing high-impact concepts, and driving creative excellence across campaigns and channels.

Qualifications
10 years of relevant experience in design, advertising, or a related industry. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
3 years of supervisory experience in a creative position preferred.
An established portfolio of elevated design concepts demonstrating expertise in a range of creative mediums and large integrated campaigns.
Agency experience strongly preferred.
The preferred candidate will have deep copywriting experience and a proven ability to lead and maintain a consistent brand voice across all communications.
Creative Director – Brand should be a strategic thinker, and capable doer. Must be self-motivated, and adept at managing their own workload and maintaining awareness of the workloads of the greater team. Must be able to advance multiple projects simultaneously and deliver within the designated timelines, while maintaining high standards for execution, accuracy, and attention to detail. Must have a proven history of managing teams and projects.
Must be a thought-leader with the ability to evangelize and sell brand concepts from initiation to completion, and have the ability to pivot quickly while keeping goals front and center. Must be versed in big brand theory. Must have a strategic understanding of the creative role in marketing, combining business and aesthetic goals in developing new and effective approaches to complex design problems, turning ideas into tangible form. Should demonstrate strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience in digital, video, and other creative and communications disciplines required, as well as a proven track record as a market-leading photo art director from concept to planning to completion.
Must possess team growing and building skills including hands-on mentorship, setting and enforcing high design and performance expectations, and driving the appropriate and personalized professional development of all team members. Must have a desire to mentor, offer guidance and encouragement for individual development, and a learning environment.
Should be comfortable working within established brand guidelines while continuing to find new and interesting ways to express the brand within those guidelines. Must understand and defend the importance of brand consistency, and have a wide personal frame of reference in areas of design, culture, media, and arts.
Requires a driven work ethic, a responsibility to the brand, and a desire to contribute to the collaborative culture at Mayo Clinic. Must have a passion for creative innovation, and a demonstrated ability to drive new ideas and bring in new concepts or methodologies and/or efficiencies.

$119,454.40 - $173,222.40/ year. Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
