Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our growing Electrical department. This role focuses on residential service upgrades, diagnostics, and generator installations, with occasional light commercial work. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. Ideal experience is 3+ years of recent residential experience

Responsibilities

+ Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting for residential systems.

+ Install and upgrade electrical panels, wiring, and circuits according to code.

+ Install and maintain backup generators and related systems.

+ Ensure compliance with NEC and local electrical codes during all installations.

+ Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with clients.

+ Provide recommendations for energy efficiency and system improvements.

Essential Skills

+ Electrical expertise

+ Conduit and wiring experience

+ Troubleshooting skills

+ Ability to install and service panels, outlets, and fixtures

+ Experience with generator installations

+ Blueprint reading

+ Conduit bending and wire pulling

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to run conduit

+ Proficiency in installation techniques

Work Environment

Work is conducted Monday through Friday from 7am to 4pm, with the possibility of weekend work. Be prepared to be on an on-call schedule, which is currently being finalized. The role involves working in and around residential homes throughout the Chicagoland area and surrounding suburbs.

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
