**Job Description** Part time position, hours will vary based on NYS staff picking up shifts. Nurse shall be available within 24 hours of notice.
The Registered Nurse is a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team whose duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide Clinical expertise in addictions
Educate patients on various medical aspects relating to substance use.
Assist in emergency and crisis situations
Monitor the environment for patient health, safety, and security; take action to maintain a positive and healthy milieu
Involvement in facility performance assessment and improvement activities
Function as backup shift charge in the absence of the shift charge
Proficient use of a computer is required for record keeping and documentation
Provide supportive counseling and crisis intervention as needed
Attend and participate in treatment plan review meetings
Communicate effectively to promote cohesive relationship between shifts and discipline
Support Administrative decisions and policies and procedures for staff and patients
Perform other nursing duties as assigned; completion of other tasks to meet ATC needs
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Nurse Administrator, Director or Assistant Director
