CMTA, formerly known as AMA Group, is looking to fill our 2026 Summer Internship program; this opportunity will be within our **New York City, Madison, New Jersey, Los Angeles** , or **Miami, Florida** . office. We are looking for Juniors in college who are interested in learning more about building systems design.

Key Responsibilities:

As a 2026 Summer Intern, you will work with engineers on tenant interior and/or core & shell projects. In your role, you will:

+ Design tasks for projects, attend and assist in surveys and/or construction field inspections, along with the review of contractor shop drawings

+ Develop an understanding of system design for tenant interior commercial projects, and/or core and shell-based building projects. Intern will also be exposed to the National Building Codes

+ Assist in the design of electrical and fire protection/plumbing systems based on the candidates’ field of study

+ Mechanical Engineer will become familiar with HVAC load programs

+ Electrical Engineer Interns will become familiar with electrical load calculations, feeder voltage drops, lighting control design systems, Fire Alarm system design, etc.

+ Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer Interns will assist in Hydraulic calculations for sprinkler system design

Desired Skills and Experience:

+ Actively enrolled in an accredited Engineering or related program. May 2027 Graduation preferred

+ Demonstrated interest in Engineering or Engineering Design

+ Must be familiar with AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP, and/or Revit

+ Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

+ High attention to detail

+ Willingness to learn

+ Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance available internally for this internship
