Job Description

We are seeking an organized and efficient **Medical Billing Assistant** to join our team in **Gillette, Wyoming.** As a **Medical Billing Assistant,** you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes for our organization. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong administrative skills and a professional demeanor.

+ Process invoices, bills, and payments accurately and efficiently

+ Verify and reconcile billing data to ensure completeness and accuracy

+ Assist in resolving billing discrepancies and customer inquiries

+ Maintain organized billing records and documentation

+ Generate and distribute billing reports as needed

+ Collaborate with accounting and customer service teams to ensure smooth billing operations

+ Assist in month-end closing procedures related to billing

+ Support accounts receivable and collections processes

+ Perform data entry tasks with high accuracy and attention to detail

+ Contribute to the improvement of billing procedures and systems

Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred

+ 1-2 years of experience in billing, accounting, or related field

+ Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)

+ Strong attention to detail and excellent data entry skills

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

+ Basic math and financial skills

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Knowledge of billing procedures and practices

+ Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

+ Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask

+ Customer-oriented approach with problem-solving abilities

+ Familiarity with medical billing a plus (if applicable to the industry)
