Job Overview
The McCoy Group is growing, and we’re looking for a detail-driven, people-focused **Sr. Benefits & Onboarding Specialist** to join our HR team in Dubuque. This full-time role plays a key part in supporting our employees, strengthening our benefits programs, and creating a smooth and positive onboarding experience for new hires.
What You’ll Do
+ Partner closely with the HR Manager to support company goals and HR initiatives
+ Clearly explain and administer employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance
+ Prepare benefit cost summaries, ROI reports, and benefit comparisons
+ ead benefit communications, including meeting coordination and presentation creation
+ Ensure accurate and timely benefit changes across all systems; collaborate with vendors to resolve issues
+ Stay knowledgeable on qualifying events, eligibility guidelines, and open enrollment processes
+ Assist with data collection, reporting, and annual filings (HIRD, 1099 HC, 1095C, etc.)
+ Utilize iSolved HRIS for benefits tracking, reporting, and onboarding
+ Maintain organized, accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality
+ Adapt to shifting priorities and support other HR functions as needed
What We’re Looking For
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred, or current SHRM certification
+ 5+ years of benefits-related experience preferred
+ Strong communication and customer service skills
+ Excellent time-management and organizational abilities
+ High level of professionalism and discretion
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
+ Experience with HRIS systems (iSolved preferred)
+ Ability to travel occasionally
