    Head of Procurement, Sourcing & Category Mgmt

     

    The Head of Procurement, Sourcing, and Category Management will oversee the development and implementation of sourcing strategies to enhance the company's procurement functions and drive value across the organization. This role demands a seasoned professional with a strategic vision to scale operations, implement technology solutions, and lead a high-performing team while driving significant annual cost savings across the enterprise. For success, the role will possess a deep understanding of procurement processes, category management, and supplier negotiation, with a proven track record in financial services in addition to being a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills. The position will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize spend and ensure compliance with regulations while delivering high-quality products and services. Additionally, the role will establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, collaborate with internal teams to identify sourcing opportunities, and leverage market insights to inform decision-making. The role's leadership will be instrumental in fostering a culture of innovation and best practices in procurement and sourcing, ensuring that the company's strategies align with the overall goals of the organization and position us as a leader in the industry.

    Key Responsibilities and Duties

    + Sets the strategic vision and execution plan for the Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, and Category Management functions, develops and implements strategies to scale the group, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

    + Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level procurement professionals.

    + Drives the implementation of technology solutions to automate current manual processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracy, partners with accounts payable, finance, and technology teams to set up a purchase order technology solution, specifically leveraging invoice management.

    + Supervises negotiations with vendor contracts, ensuring consistency, satisfaction, and success across various company departments, encourages and maintains strong, collaborative relationships with vendors and sourcing companies, revises contracts and sourcing documents using competitive sourcing strategies to deliver continuous cost performance and process improvement.

    + Provides final approval, quality control checks, and signatures for all vendor contracts and agreements.

    + Identifies opportunities for how vendors are utilized across EverBank, including cost-saving initiatives the internal stakeholders can leverage to realize vendor spend budgetary requirements, leads the contract renegotiations to realize savings across the enterprise.

    + Reviews data analysis, supplier negotiation and selection, contract development, financial structure, and additional sourcing activities to highlight a clear scope of services and deliverables, oversees the maintenance and compliance of sourcing analytics, such as spend analysis and the development of dashboards and metrics.

    + Executes bank confidential projects and M&A due diligence, handles high-complexity and high-risk deals, ensuring thorough analysis and risk mitigation, acts as a liaison with the Vendor Risk Management team to ensure all vendor-related risks are identified and managed effectively.

    + Ensures key performance indicators are tracked and improved, while adhering the service level agreements.

    + Manages performance of the direct reports through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of projects and engagement, motivation and development of the team.

    Educational Requirements

    + University (Degree) Preferred

    Minimum Qualifications

    + 8+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, and category management.

    + Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and contract management.

    + Experience in a leadership role managing procurement teams and large-scale sourcing initiatives.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + 10+ years of procurement leadership experience, including sourcing and multi-year transformation projects.

    + Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence executive-level stakeholders.

    + Experience managing organizational change and implementing technology solutions at scale.

    + Exposure to emerging technologies (AI, automation) in procurement and sourcing.

    + Experience with Workday, Coupa, Ariba or other similar P2P software
