    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated General Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will communicate effectively with individuals and groups, both verbally and in writing, to ensure smooth operations. You will complete work orders, records, logs, and other documents in accordance with established procedures. Your primary duties will include performing preventive maintenance and repairs on various equipment, operating material handling and powered equipment, and assisting other technicians as needed. You will also be responsible for cleaning and maintaining grounds, parking lots, and building facilities.

    Responsibilities

    + Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing.

    + Complete work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.

    + Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment such as lift trucks, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic equipment.

    + Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.

    + Clean and maintain grounds, parking lots, fencing, and building facilities, including bathrooms, plumbing, painting, and drywall.

    + Assist other maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment.

    + Troubleshoot basic problems with equipment where the repair is visible or obvious.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in mechanical and facilities maintenance.

    + Proficiency in building maintenance, drywall, painting, and plumbing.

    + Ability to perform preventive maintenance, electrical repairs, and troubleshooting.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Minimum of 1 year's experience in repairing or maintaining mechanical or electrical equipment in an industrial or non-industrial setting, or 2 years of related vocational training.

    + Preferred: 1 year's experience in repairing or maintaining mechanical or electrical equipment in an industrial setting.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minooka, IL.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.45 - $30.45/hr.
