    Maintenance Mechanic - Day Shift - 4 Day Work Week

     

    $28 - $32 per hour

    Job Description

    The role involves maintenance and repair of various facility-related equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and fire safety equipment. The mechanic will be responsible for monitoring, trending, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct preventive maintenance (PMs) and ensure equipment operates safely.

    + Log time and materials, maintain work orders, PMs, and inventory tracking in a computerized maintenance management system.

    + Interpret and understand plans, specifications, schematics, and operating and maintenance manuals.

    + Repair dock doors and perform rack installations as needed.

    + Assist in performing battery preventative maintenance, battery charger repairs, battery changes for material handling equipment, and manage battery maintenance.

    + Perform preventative maintenance on forklifts and conveyors to ensure peak productivity.

    + Maintain spare parts inventory, order replacements, and keep maintenance records updated.

    Essential Skills

    + Troubleshooting

    + Mechanical and electrical repair

    + Experience with hydraulics

    + Preventive maintenance

    + Proficiency with hand tools

    + Experience with Crown brand forklifts

    Work Environment

     

    Currently, the environment is heated with plans to install air conditioning next year. The dress code includes wearing boots above the ankle, jeans, and layers as needed. The maintenance team comprises five members within a larger facility team of 300.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waverly, NE.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.27 - $30.27/hr.
