Maintenance Assistant -- First Shift -- Overtime -- Weekly Pay -- Starting ASAP

Job Description

The Maintenance Assistant will operate independently at our facility, providing essential support to the maintenance technician. The role involves working on gears and bearings, performing preventative maintenance, and acting as an extra set of hands.

Responsibilities

+ Assist the maintenance technician in daily tasks.

+ Perform preventative maintenance on machinery.

+ Work on gears and bearings to ensure optimal performance.

+ Use hand tools and power tools to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.

Essential Skills

+ Experience as a machine operator and in production assembly.

+ Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.

+ Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with preventive and facilities maintenance.

+ Experience using hand tools and power tools.

+ 1+ year in a warehouse or production environment.

+ 1+ year experience repairing bearings and gears.

+ Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment.

+ Capability to stand for 8-10 hours a day and lift up to 75lbs independently.

Work Environment

The work environment is heated but not cooled, which can make it warm in the summer. The facility is loud with all machines running but is not dirty due to working with cardboard. The dress code includes steel or composite toes, jeans or pants, a T-shirt, and layers as needed. PPE such as safety glasses and hearing protection are provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
