Job Title: Traveling Environmental Superintendent
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Superintendent to lead our dynamic team in providing top-tier environmental services. This role involves hands-on participation in safety meetings, task allocations, and equipment inspections. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful completion of various projects by taking daily field notes, managing equipment rentals, and possibly operating machinery. This job pays hourly and requires mandatory overtime.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct daily safety meetings to discuss the scope of work and daily plans.
+ Assign tasks to the team, such as digging and excavating.
+ Perform equipment inspections and take daily field notes.
+ Manage equipment rental and vendor needs.
+ Operate machinery as needed, including skid steers, backhoes, and dump trucks.
+ Engage actively in field operations without observing from a distance.
Essential Skills
+ OSHA 40 certification.
+ HAZWOPER certification.
+ At least 5 years of experience in environmental remediation, underground heavy civil work, or landfill operations.
+ 2+ years of Superintendent experience is ideal, but 5+ years of Foreman experience is also acceptable.
+ Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, especially skid steers, backhoes, and dump trucks.
+ Experience with radioactive materials.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Traveling Superintendent experience, preferably across the West Coast and nationally.
+ Must be able to spend months away for work at a time.
+ Must be willing to work mandatory overtime.
+ Possession of a REAL ID, TWIC, Passport, or other federal identification.
+ Clean DMV record with 2 points or less.
+ Experience or training in asbestos or lead handling.
+ Confined space supervisory experience.
+ OSHA30 certification is beneficial.
+ Construction Quality Management (CQM) training.

Work Environment
You will be working on various job sites, including those involving radioactive materials. The role requires extensive travel, primarily throughout the West Coast and occasionally nationally. Superintendents are matched with projects that align with their strengths, managing crews ranging from 4 to 15 members on projects valued between $500,000 to $10 million.

This is a Permanent position based out of Livermore, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
Medical, Dental and Vision. 401k with match. Direct Hire.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Livermore,CA.
