    Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled diesel mechanic to work on heavy diesel and mining equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic systems as well as diesel engines within a mining environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct preventative maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

    + Perform repairs on diesel engines in heavy equipment and mining machinery.

    + Troubleshoot and diagnose engine repairs to identify root causes of failures or issues.

    + Work on heavy diesel equipment such as diesel dump trucks, haul trucks, loaders, drills, and conveyors.

    + Maintain and repair heavy equipment components including pumps, compressors, and pneumatic tools.

    + Perform hydraulic and pneumatic preventative maintenance on skid steers, transport vehicles, bulldozers, and cranes.

    + Handle tier 4 diesel engines and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) systems.

    Essential Skills

    + Diesel repair certifications (Cat, Komatsu, Diesel repair state or ASE).

    + 2+ years of experience working on diesel equipment in an industrial environment.

    + 2+ years of experience with heavy diesel equipment and component repair.

    + Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

    + Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engine issues effectively.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in fleet maintenance and heavy equipment repair.

    + Proficient in engine repair and heavy diesel repair techniques.

    The work environment is underground in a salt mine, where you will be involved in extracting salt for ice melting, leather, and food processing purposes.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $66538.00 - $72718.00/yr.
