Job Title:** **Field Service Mechanic
Overview
Join our team as a Field Service Mechanic specializing in aircraft pilot seating systems. This role involves hands-on repair of mechanical, electrical, and upholstery components, along with technical troubleshooting and documentation. You’ll work closely with customers and engineering teams to ensure timely and accurate service. Travel to aircraft manufacturing sites may be required for installations and problem resolution.
Key Responsibilities
+ Perform repairs on pilot seats, including removal and replacement of mechanical and electrical parts.
+ Utilize hand tools and occasional power tools in accordance with digital maintenance manuals.
+ Travel to OEM facilities for installations, removals, and on-site troubleshooting.
+ Communicate effectively with customers and internal engineering support via phone and email.
+ Complete documentation and maintain accurate records in SAP and Excel.
+ Ensure compliance with all company and regulatory standards during service activities.
Required Skills
+ Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly or repair using hand tools.
+ Ability to interpret technical drawings and written instructions in English.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Quick learner with adaptability to new processes and documentation requirements.
+ Basic proficiency in computer systems for data entry and tracking.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Previous experience repairing aircraft interior components, especially seating systems.
+ Familiarity with Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM) and technical schematics.
+ Professional demeanor and customer-focused approach.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
