    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician who is either currently experienced or willing to be trained in repairing and operating a variety of equipment. This includes forklift trucks, bagger-packaging machines, Ishida weigh scales, Toledo scales, commercial baking ovens, flour handling systems, commercial mixers, conveyor systems, natural gas systems, HVAC units, metal detectors, emergency fire systems, pumps, compressors, pneumatic systems, chain drives, belt lacing and stitching, printing units, Marsh tapers, gear boxes, electrical motors of all sizes, hand tools, welders, plasma-cutters, power tools, and shop tools. You will also be expected to learn to operate, maintain, and repair any new equipment purchased in the future.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of equipment.

    + Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) and sanitation tasks.

    + Work comfortably with scaffolding, ladders, forklifts, roofs, and heights up to 50 feet.

    + Operate in confined spaces and excessively hot areas.

    + Lift and pull up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

    + Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in a food environment.

    + Place parts orders and manage parts inventory when necessary.

    + Organize maintenance stock rooms and storage facilities.

    + Train other employees on equipment and procedures as needed.

    The work takes place in a food manufacturing environment which is consistently warm and can become very hot depending on production levels. Employees should be prepared for the physical demands and conditions typical of this setting.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reading, PA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
