Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for the 2nd shift weekend. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in working with CNC machines and have experience with Mazak machines. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and precision of our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

+ Study blueprints, sketches, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

+ Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.

+ Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media according to established guidelines and procedures.

+ Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls or control media as required.

+ Verify conformance of finished work-piece to specifications using measuring and inspection tools as necessary.

+ Set up and operate machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.

+ Confer with production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.

Essential Skills

+ High School Diploma or GED.

+ Knowledge of blueprints and CNC Machines.

+ Experience working with Mazak machines.

+ 3+ years of recent CNC machining experience, preferably with 4 and 5 axis, but 3 axis is acceptable.

+ Experience with setup, true machining, and not just button pushing or operating.

+ Proficiency with Mazatrol, Smooth X Controls, and 7-axis machining.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Mazak 3-5 axis machining experience with CNC Lathe background.

+ Millturn background is a must.

+ Familiarity with Fanuc controls is acceptable, but Mazatrol SmoothX Controls is preferred.
