Job Title: Robotics Programmer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Robotics Programmer to join our innovative team focused on CNC and automation solutions. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain software that controls robotic systems used in manufacturing and industrial automation. You will collaborate with engineering teams to integrate software with mechanical and electrical components, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
+ Attend project meetings.
+ Understand the process that is being automated.
+ Perform offline programming of robotic systems.
+ Conduct robotic cell start-up, debugging, and I/O configuration.
+ Program at our facility and end user facilities.
+ Commission robotic cells onsite.
+ Develop documentation and operation manuals.
+ Provide training and production support for customers after runoff completion.
+ Service and repair robotic systems, including filling out field service reports.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in C++, Python, or Java for writing control algorithms and interfacing with robotic hardware.
+ Experience with CNC machine operations, G-code, and robotic integration with CNC tools.
+ Ability to program and troubleshoot robotic arms in manufacturing environments.
+ Familiarity with Robotics Platforms and Tools such as Robot Operating System (ROS), PLCs, and simulation software like RoboDK or ABB RobotStudio.
+ Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with experience in testing, validation, and performance tuning.
+ Knowledge of electrical and mechanical integration, including sensors, actuators, and control systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 2-3 years of on-the-job experience or 5-10 years to gain Fanuc experience.
+ Entry-level experience with Yaskawa, ABV, or different robotics, and JavaScript.
+ New graduates with a good personality fit are welcome.
+ Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
+ This job can involve sitting or standing for extended periods.
+ Sufficient mobility, including bending, reaching, turning, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders.
+ Ability to perform two-handed work.

Work Environment
Regular hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm, with occasional weekend, holiday, or evening work. Work takes place in an office, shop, or customer manufacturing site environment, with conditions potentially including slippery floors. Travel is required 10%-20% of the time, with some trips lasting 1-3 weeks. Dress code is professional and comfortable for both office and onsite settings.

This is a Permanent position based out of Madison, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
