The anticipated salary range for this role is between $93,000.00 and $156,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Commercial Loans and Lines of Credit, Asset-Based Financing, SBA Loans, and Specialized Financing, Real Estate Loans, Cash Management Services, International Services
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with Sales & Trading, and Control Function departments on requirement gathering, user acceptance testing, as well as production support
• Define acceptance criteria during development and implementation phases, including formulation and definition of system scope, objectives and necessary system enhancements for complex, high-impact projects
• Identify and communicate risks and impacts and propose risk mitigation options, considering business implications of the applications of technology to the current environment
• Work directly with the Sales & Trading Desk to help find remedies to alleviate day-to-day issues
• Analyze gaps in current flows to help with analysis of move to potential new platforms
• Review quality assurance test cases
• Faciliate between users, developers, and quality assurance engineers.
Qualifications:
Skills:
• 2-3 years as a business analyst in a technology team building out Capital Market Sales, Trading, and Risk platforms.
• Analytical skills to troubleshoot a variety of symptoms, diagnose problems, and test, recommend and implement solutions to technology problems
• Forward thinker who seeks to improve business processes that deliver better services
• Ability to convey complex information to both technical and nontechnical audiences
• SQL and relational DB experience nice to have
• Strong mathematical and financial engineering skills
• Excellent inter-personal skill. Has the ability to work collaboratively and enjoy working in a fast-paced technical environment
• Strong work ethic and dedication to meet target dates.
• Strong negotiation, problem solving, time management and troubleshooting skills
• Detail-oriented, independent and able to adjust to changing priorities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
