    Responsibilities and practice

     

    Dentons US LLP is seeking an entry-level associate to join our Chambers-rated Capital Markets practice, focusing on regulatory work. The successful candidate will work closely with partners, counsel, and associates on financial services regulation, with a particular emphasis on consumer credit regulation and licensing.

    This position will be based in our New York office and will support the practice by assuming responsibilities such as:

    + Managing a broad range of federal and state consumer and commercial credit regulatory issues

    + Conducting research on various consumer and commercial credit regulatory issues on both the federal and state levels

    + Working on legal memoranda analyzing consumer and commercial credit regulatory issues

    + Assisting with regulatory due diligence for investors and lenders

    + Working collaboratively with the team to carry out all aspects of regulatory licensing for clients of the Firm

    + Supporting the practice as needed

Our highly-regarded team represents virtually every banking and financial institution in the financing, purchase and securitization of financial assets. We also represent every type of market participant, including issuers, underwriters, investors, liquidity providers, lenders, conduits, trustees, servicers and originators in the US and beyond.

     

    Pursuant with New York law, the salary for this position will be $225,000. Based on years of experience, Dentons associates may have a title of Associate, Managing Associate, or Senior Managing Associate. Dentons US LLP offers a competitive salary and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, short-term/long-term disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, paid holidays and discretionary bonuses.

    Technical skills

    + 1 year of law firm experience is preferred

    + Experience with consumer credit regulatory and licensing matters is preferred

    Other requirements

    + Should be licensed to practice law in the State of New York and be in good standing
