    $20.40 per hour

    Shift:

    Monday – Friday

     

    2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

    What You’ll Do:

    As a **Tank Shop Operator I** , you will set up, adjust, and operate various welding machines, presses, shears, brakes, flanges, and expanders to support transformer tank production.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Perform work in one or more of the following areas:

    + Bottom welder (includes perforating LVB holes)

    + Projection welder (includes perforating LVB holes)

    + Seam welder (includes flanging)

    + Layout (includes rod stack)

    + Horn presses, hang, cover punch, paint booth, tank unhang

    + Position, hang, and remove transformer tanks and accessory parts from powered overhead conveyor lines.

    + Operate welding equipment and machines, as well as manual and powered hand tools.

    + Use simple measuring devices and handle medium-heavy materials manually.

    + Operate hoists and other material handling equipment; may operate powered industrial trucks.

    + Perform routine machine and equipment maintenance.

    + Work from oven pick lists, PQP, NFOI, IDP, and verbal instructions.

    + Maintain safe and proper handling and disposal of chemicals, paints, and waste materials.

    + Wear appropriate PPE and work in environments affected by heat, fumes, and noise.

    Required Qualifications:

    + Ability to read and comprehend written materials such as safety, quality, and operating instructions.

    + Ability to perform basic math functions.

    + Physically able to perform essential job functions and wear PPE. **Preferred Skills:**

    + High School Diploma or GED
