Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director, responsible for providing leadership and vision to the Accounts Payable, Customer Services and related areas by developing strategic business planning that aligns with Company goals. Effectively manages staff by establishing and maintaining accounts payable and customer service policies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Understands and optimizes available information by monitoring productivity, evaluating existing processes, identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing best practices for operational performance improvement initiatives. Anticipates and responds to customer's needs in a manner that provides added value and generates significant customer value. Ensures effective control procedures are in place and fully functioning to preclude improprieties from occurring. Interacts with employees at all levels in the organization. External contacts may include vendors and banks. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Major Functional Responsibilities:
• Supervises associates to include, but not limited to: staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution. Manages staff conducting daily Accounts Payable related activities including invoice processing, uploads, disbursements, imaging, indexing, vendor relations, and customer service. Emphasizes process excellence by implementing best practices and creating an environment of continuous improvement. Create and maintain a solid customer service culture.
• Create, motivate and lead high performing teams using a combination of leadership, management and process improvement techniques. Guide the professional development of the staff through individual and team accountabilities, objectives and development plans.
• Oversee the compilation, analysis and reporting of accounts payable related data to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Make certain overall internal controls are implemented to ensure integrity of data, financial reporting and records. Ensure appropriate Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and auditing controls are identified and enforced. Ensure compliance with 1099 reporting requirements. Direct activities to ensure compliance with regulatory reporting including1099.
• Continually monitor processes surrounding effective cash management.
• Define and monitor daily, weekly and monthly statistics for quality and productivity to efficiently manage the support team's outcomes. Provide individual and/or team performance metrics for staff, as appropriate to ensure department upholds Service Level Agreements.
• Develop and implement process improvements. Maintain systems (including testing), procedures and policies, to ensure adherence to company guidelines.

Qualifications:
• Increasingly responsible positions in leading Accounts Payable, Accounting or Accounts Receivable teams in a Shared Services environment.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail required.
• Strong leadership, communication (written and verbal) and influencing skills.
• Demonstrated experience with procedural and/or process evaluation and recommendations for improvement.
• Effective problem solving and trouble shooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgement.
• Demonstrated ability to develop strong business partnerships and relationships within a corporate environment.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field
• Strong working experience and knowledge of internal control concepts and Sarbanes Oxley 404.
• Experience with high volume Shared Services and statutory reporting requirements for Accounts Payable.
• Must possess a complete understanding of Procure to Pay cycle.
