Job Description
Join our team as a Sanitation Supervisor, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and cleanliness of our food processing environment. You will lead a team of sanitation technicians, manage sanitation protocols, and maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure each member of the Sanitation crew adheres to company Lock Out Tag Out and food safety procedures.
+ Train the Sanitation crew on safely handling and distinguishing authorized sanitation chemicals.
+ Ensure adherence to all company GMPs and directives on regulatory, product quality, sanitation, food safety, employee, and environmental standards.
+ Direct and distribute daily workloads among sanitation technicians.
+ Communicate effectively with Production, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Quality teams to conduct timely sanitation of specific areas and equipment.
+ Conduct routine sanitation effectiveness audits and take corrective action if needed.
+ Collaborate with Quality teams to develop and implement new procedures, techniques, and testing plans for sanitation effectiveness.
+ Assist in departmental training related to SOPs, GMPs, and procedural adherence and documentation.
+ Maintain and upkeep analytical equipment and chemical proportioning equipment, including documentation and preventative maintenance.
+ Monitor the performance of the sanitation crew to ensure cleaning of equipment and the environment meets SOP requirements.
+ Perform routine sanitation work, including area assessment, organization, cleaning, sanitizing, and auditing.
+ Generate work orders, tool checklists, and chemical control documents, assisting with the maintenance of the Master Sanitation Schedule.
+ Monitor supply stock for the sanitation crew and communicate equipment needs for ordering.
+ Assemble and disassemble equipment safely.
+ Clean warehouse equipment and the entire warehouse area.
+ Safely apply industrial foam cleaners and sanitizers.
+ Communicate issues and concerns to management.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum 1 year of experience as a sanitation lead, with a preference for 2-3 years.
+ Experience in food manufacturing.
+ Experience with chemicals.
+ Leadership experience and ability to direct others.
+ Time management and problem-solving skills.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Bolingbrook, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
