    Job Details

    2 days per week - 9am -5pm - Varied days - Sunday to Thursday

    Responsibilities:

    + Maintaining and coordinating accessioning, handling, and grossing preparation of surgical specimens and laboratory inquiries regarding specimen collection and processing for the hospital.

    + Maintains and coordinates all laboratory inquiries and procedures regarding referred testing specimen collection processing for the hospital

    + Acts as a resource for hospital personnel regarding specimen procurement, testing and results;

    + Maintains and coordinates all laboratory specimen pick-up and deliveries between CHS Hospitals and CHS Regional Laboratory Service facilities and performs other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + Computer experience desirable

    + Good oral and written communications skills

    + Six months experience in all phases of Phlebotomy in a hospital environment desired

    + Weekends and holidays as scheduled

    + Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy technicians desired

    + Experience in protocols involved in accessioning, handling, and preparation, including thin prep processing of cytology specimens desired

    + Clean, valid NYS Driver's license required

     

    Salary Range

     

    USD $23.98 - USD $29.97 /Hr.

     

    This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
