    Job Summary and Responsibilities

     

    As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), you will be a cornerstone of patient care, directly contributing to comfort, safety, and recovery by providing essential support under RN direction.

     

    Every day, you will deliver compassionate basic care, assist with patient transport, and actively contribute to the patient's plan of care as a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, upholding the highest standards of conduct and patient well-being.

     

    To be successful in this role, you will possess a dedicated spirit of service, strong communication skills, a meticulous approach to patient support, and an unwavering commitment to our mission of dignified, high-quality healthcare.

     

    + Demonstrates ability to assess/interpret age-specific data.

    + Encourages involvement of patient/family/significant other in decision making related to plan of care.

    + Maintains a safe patient environment: a.puts side rails up b.ensures patient floor is clean/dry prior to patient ambulation c.maintains a neat and orderly patient environment d.reports safety concerns to licensed nurse e.monitors visitors/visitor control f.ensures that call light is within patient's reach g.ensures that basic necessities are within patients reach

    + Contributes to patient safety: a.fall risk (side rails, wheelchair brakes, use of patient walker/cane, patient footwear) b.choking risk (listens for and responds to sounds of choking) c.reports safety concerns to licensed nurse

    + Demonstrates self safety by using personal protective equipment when indicated. Uses appropriate lifting techniques and asks for assistance as required.

    + Demonstrates safe 1:1 observation of self-harm/violent patient. Shows competency in clearing room and meal trays of any unsafe items for direct observation patient. Able to appropriately document on direct observation log. Reports any behavioral concerns to primary nurse immediately.

    Job Requirements

    + A valid Certified Nursing Assistant certification issued by the state of California

    + AHA BLS card

    Preferred

    + High School graduate or GED

    + Experience in medically related field

    Pay Range

    $24.00 - $28.09 /hour
