_Senior React Developer (On Site)_

As a Senior React Developer, you will make an impact by contributing to the architecture and design of software systems, ensuring scalability and maintainability. You will be a valued member of the Digital Engineering team and work collaboratively with the manager and stakeholders.

_In this role, you will:_

+ Develop React UI components in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring scalability, modularity, and maintainability.

+ Clearly communicate critical UI design decisions, define requirements and constraints, and provide input for project effort estimation.

+ Design and implement micro front-end architectures for seamless integration across components and services.

+ Establish UI strategies for new features, ensuring rollout plans are safe, progressive, and reversible.

+ Decompose monolithic UIs into smaller, independently deployable units.

+ Coordinate communication and data sharing between micro front-end components.

+ Apply asynchronous service patterns where appropriate.

+ Leverage deep understanding of business processes and organizational complexities to guide solution design.

+ Deliver solutions that are practical, flexible, resilient, scalable, reusable, and aligned with strategic goals.

+ Advocate for component-based development to promote reusability and consistency.

+ Build and maintain UI pattern libraries for cross-product use.

+ Ensure compliance with established UI guidelines and standards.

+ Implement best practices for optimizing JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.

+ Contribute to the development of reusable UI frameworks, methodologies, and deliverables.

+ Utilize REST API calls via libraries like Axios and apply patterns such as Promises.

+ Address daily technical challenges and escalate risks or issues to management promptly.

+ Stay current with emerging technologies and tools to enhance IT development and delivery.

+ Incorporate security best practices and standards into all UI design

**_Work model_** : On Site

**_Location_** : Washington, DC

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Washington DC.

_What you need to have to be considered:_

+ About 10+ years of experience in **designing and developing React based micro front-end development and solutions**

+ Proficiency in **React and related UI technologies**

+ Good experience in developing web applications using **HTML5, JQuery, CSS3, ReactJS and JavaScript for UI** components.

+ Proven track record of building large-scale, production-grade UI applications

+ Familiarity with **micro front-end patterns** (e.g., single-spa, module federation)

+ Good experience to use **GenAI tools** (Ex. Github copilot)

+ Strong understanding of responsive design principles.

+ Proficiency in at least one wireframing/prototyping tool (e.g., Axure, Omnigraffle).

+ Command over DOM manipulation and performance optimization.

+ Ability to deliver functionality incrementally adopting agile practices

+ Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)

+ Excellent problem-solving skills.

+ Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

+ Familiarity with micro-frontends, implementing microservices and container-based architectures and deployments (e.g., Docker, Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes).

+ Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all management levels.

+ Able to take personal responsibility and accountability for timely response to client queries, requests or needs, working to remove obstacles that may impede execution or overall success

_Salary and Other Compensation:_

Applications will be accepted until **12/30/2025.**

The annual salary for this position is between **_$68K – $135K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate_** .

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
