Division: Office of Licensing/Licensing Call Center Division
The Louisiana Department of Insurance is seeking anInsurance Supervisorto join the Office of Licensing/Licensing Call Center Division. This team supports the licensing of insurance professionals across the state and provides essential guidance to consumers and industry partners. In this role, you’ll supervise licensing staff, oversee call center operations, review and approve license applications, and assist with background investigations and escalated inquiries. Minimum Qualifications
Six years of experience in insurance, administrative services, investigations, or law enforcement: OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus three years of experience in insurance, administrative services, investigations, or law enforcement; OR
A bachelor's degree plus three years of experience in insurance, administrative services, investigations, or law enforcement; OR
An advanced degree plus two years of experience in insurance, administrative services, investigations, or law enforcement.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
As anInsurance Supervisorin the Office of Licensing/Licensing Call Center Division, you will/may:
+ Provide daily oversight, guidance, and leadership to Insurance Specialists and Insurance Technicians within both the Producer Licensing Division and the Licensing Call Center.
+ Evaluate the work products of assigned staff to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with licensing standards.
+ Monitor call center operations, including call flow, quality of service, responsiveness, and issue resolution.
+ Review and approve license applications submitted by individuals, partnerships, and corporations seeking authority to conduct insurance-related business in Louisiana.
+ Investigate backgrounds of prospective licensees to determine fitness for licensure and review allegations of wrongdoing to assess whether legal action may be warranted.
+ Answer escalated calls when a caller requests to speak with a supervisor or manager.
+ Approve employee leave requests and timesheets in accordance with agency policy.
+ Assist the Insurance Manager with hiring, onboarding, and training staff.
+ Attend meetings, workshops, conferences, and training sessions to stay informed about changes in licensing laws, procedures, and industry standards.
+ Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned to support the Licensing Division.
