Sartorius has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, self-motivated, entrepreneurially spirited professional to help fuel the growth of our Bioprocess Solutions portfolio in the Bay Area (Remote position). The incumbent in this key role will be a trusted business partner to our customers in the biopharmaceutical arena. The ideal candidate will reside in the San Fransico Bay area.
As the Field Account Manager, you will be responsible for the growth of revenue by proactive sales of the product portfolio in its territory and developing strong customer relations according to the organizational strategy for its assigned customer base.

What you will accomplish together with us
+ You will promote and sell the organization's products and services within an assigned geographic area, product range or key account to achieve sales and revenue target.
+ One of your tasks will be to assess and analyze customer needs, respond to customer enquiries and suggest products and services as appropriate.
+ You will work closely with cross functional team to create higher market perception and successful strategies to gain business from an account.
+ On an as needed basis, you will coordinate and participate in marketing activities in assigned territory.
+ Frequently assess the potential of each customer and plan to realize it into business.
+ Manage and build strong customer relationships for long term partnership.
+ In this role, you will manage and grow an existing sales base within the assigned account and develop new contacts and applications.
+ Demonstrate a natural affinity to influence and sell to all levels of an organization.
+ Ability to persuade, through logic and bottom-line reasoning.
+ You will design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence in given region.
+ One of your duties will be to support the Sales Manager/Director to achieve annual sales target and fulfill corporate objectives within assigned accounts.
What will convince us:
+ You have completed a Bachelor's degree preferably in a science discipline or equivalent relevant practical experience that demonstrate a strong ability and proven competency to work effectively as an Account Manager within the biotechnology or biopharmaceutical industry
+ Post graduate qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific discipline is desired but not essential
+ You possess a minimum of 3+ years’ relevant industry experience, preferably within a GMP or GLP environment
+ Sales experience and/or customer facing experience in biotechnology industry
+ Willingness and ability to travel frequently with the assigned territory
+ You are proficient with MS Office software, including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Compensation is between $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 base, (depending on experience, and qualifications) plus a sales incentive plan and car allowance.
