Job Description

We are seeking skilled and motivated Data Center Technicians to support the installation and maintenance of cabling infrastructure in a fast-paced data center environment. This role involves physical labor and requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

+ Install and decommission network and cabling infrastructure, including server cabinets, cable trays, ladder racks, fiber runners, containment systems, and trunk cables.

+ Perform field terminations, labeling, and testing of low-voltage cabling (coaxial, fiber, Cat5, Cat6).

+ Read and interpret blueprints, building documentation, and redline drawings.

+ Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and industry standards.

+ Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the data center.

+ Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve project obstacles.

+ Provide structured feedback on project progress and suggest process improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

+ Experience in mechanical, data center, or cabling work (no license required).

+ Familiarity with construction site or data center environments.

+ Proficiency with basic telecom hand tools.

+ Understanding of wiring schemes and cable testing procedures.

+ Ability to pull and install various types of low-voltage cabling.

+ Comfortable working on ladders and performing physically demanding tasks.

Additional Qualifications

+ Demonstrated experience in data center infrastructure installation is preferred.

+ Strong communication and teamwork skills.

+ Commitment to high-quality workmanship and continuous improvement.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fredericksburg, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
