• Frontend Engineer - Generative AI

    Job Description

    Help transform healthcare with a large healthcare client of Insight Global’s by building elegant, accessible, and performant UIs for our GenAI chatbot and concierge platforms. Work closely with Data Science, Business, and Clinical Operations to shape how AI is experienced in pediatric healthcare.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design and develop responsive, user-centric web applications integrating ML/GenAI tools (chatbots, AI agents, RAG models).

    • Integrate with backend services, APIs, and EHR systems (Cerner, Epic).

    • Contribute to architectural decisions for scalable and secure AI frontend experiences.

    • Translate user requirements into accessible, functional UI designs for clinical and administrative workflows.

    • Participate in code reviews, prototyping, and user testing.

    • Implement telemetry and analytics for user behavior and product performance.

    • Stay current with secure healthcare software development and compliance (HIPAA, CCPA).

    Skills and Requirements

    • 3+ years of experience developing front-end applications using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue)

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field

    • Familiarity with design systems, UI frameworks, and accessibility (WCAG/ARIA)

    • Strong experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and front-end/backend integration

    • Experience using version control (e.g., Git) and agile development practices

    • Experience deploying apps using containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

    • Effective communication skills and ability to articulate complex technical ideas to cross-disciplinary internal and external stakeholders

    • Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7)

    • Experience integrating with Epic or Cerner platforms

    • Exposure to MLOps, data visualization libraries (e.g., Plotly, D3.js), or analytics tools like Tableau or Streamlit

    • Understanding of HIPAA, PHI handling, and secure data workflows in healthcare environments • Solid understanding of frontend security and authentication best practices

    • Experience working with machine learning and GenAI model applications (e.g., AWS and Azure AI marketplaces)
