POSITION: Lead Supervisor of School Crossing Guards in Michigan, seasonal
Leadership is the heart of our mission, “ Keeping Kids Safe ”. All City Management Services is the industry leader in providing school crossing guards. ACMS is looking for a dedicated individual to join our leadership team! The Leadership Team is ultimately responsible for overseeing and managing their local Crossing Guard programs in this field based position. RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Field-based position reporting to an assigned supervisor. Serves as an Area Supervisor for at least one department and provides leadership for an additional number of assigned Area Supervisors.
+ Must be familiar with all Company policies and procedures as outlined in Employee Handbook for School Crossing Guards and the Instruction Manual for Area Supervisors.
+ Coordinates the schedules and duties of their assigned leadership team as they work to meet the operational needs of all departments under their supervision.
+ Responsible for recruiting, hiring, classroom orientation, training and ongoing safety reviews for their own department(s) as well as ensuring the required standards are being met in departments where they have an additional leadership role.
+ Responsible for ensuring direct reports maintain compliance with Company policies and demonstrate compliance with safety procedures. This includes, but is not limited to, personal field observations and the accurate and timely completion and submission of Site Performance Evaluations for their departments and those of their assigned Area Supervisors.
+ Responsible for completing and submitting required administrative paperwork (including payroll documents) in a timely manner.
+ Attendance at scheduled staff meetings is mandatory
REQUIREMENTS:
+ Work done off-the-clock is not required nor allowed. Must have prior approval from their manager for any/all hours worked over their established budgeted hours Position requires reporting to work prior to the first day of the school year as determined by departmental and operational needs.
+ Must use company-issued device to access the designated app for clocking in/out for hours of work. Employees are responsible for monitoring their own work hours to meet all legal requirements for rest breaks and meal periods. If you are unaware of the legal requirements for rest breaks and meal periods you are required to contact Human Resources (800.540.9290). Any instance of being unable to meet these legal requirements must be reported to their manager immediately.
+ Must use company-issued cell phones only when actively performing work duties; all company-issued devices must remain off outside of scheduled hours of work.
+ Must use the Company’s mileage tracking system to ensure accurate recording and reporting of all business-related travel for automobile mileage reimbursement.
+ Must meet all requirements of being an ACMS School Crossing Guard and be fully competent in performing those duties.
+ Must be self-motivated and dependable and demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.
+ Must have access to a computer and possess basic technical competency skills (use of smart phone, email, scanning etc.)
+ Must have reliable transportation and provide copies of active automobile insurance for any personal vehicle used for business.
+ Must be able to store, lift and transport various items of equipment weighing approximately 20 pounds.
+ Must provide inventory control and storage of field equipment and administrative supplies.
+ Must submit to and successfully complete fingerprinting and/or drug/alcohol screening prior to and/or during employment. Must maintain a record free of serious offenses
+ Must have 2 or more years of Supervising experience
COMPENSATION:
+ Michigan Lead Supervisor earns $22.00 - $30.00 an hour working up to 8 hours a day. Position is eligible for yearly bonus. Pay is determined by experience.
+ Automobile mileage reimbursement is provided based on accurate use of the Company-provided mileage tracking process.
