    Job Title: Senior Process Engineer

     

    Summary:The Process Development Engineer will work within the Value Stream and is instrumental in the design, build, measurement, and improvement of production processes in order to increase capacity, improve efficiencies, reduce cost, improve safety and EHS compliance. Their main objective is to identify, develop, verify, and validate processes from their early developmental stages straight to implementation. Additionally, a process development engineer evaluates and analyzes current processes and provides recommendations as needed. The day-to-day responsibilities of a process development engineer include developing and maintaining processes and validation programs, training entry-level engineers, ensuring processes are aligned with the goals of the business, and measuring processes against corporate goals. Process development engineers work with engineers, production employees, management, supply chain employees, and logistics teams to ensure the long-term alignment between the Waterford value stream and the business segment. This role will report to the Value Stream Leader

    Responsibilities Include:

    + Drive process cycle time reduction and process improvements beyond monthly time horizon

    + Scope and develop projects to support strategic and transformational improvement including new production assets

    + Evaluate processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement to drive product cost improvements

    + Participate in design reviews, product and process FMEA's to aid in the design of new equipment and upgrade existing equipment.

    + Develop value stream business unit relationships as assigned by value stream leader

    + Implement large and/or complex scope MOC’s as assigned · Mentor and develop process engineers

    + Coordinate with Technology to execute NPI’s and product translations · Create additional capacity by bringing new assets online

    Qualifications:

    The following are required for the role

    + B.S. Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline; equivalent education and relevant experience will also be considered.

    + At least 10 years of related industry experience

    + Proficiency with process chemical design (material balances, P&IDs, PFDs, equipment sizing and arrangements)

    + Strong computer skills, including MS Office, SAP, Minitab

    + Demonstrated knowledge of continuous and batch chemical processes

    + Communication skills: ability to communicate effectively across levels of the organization

    + Ability to act in a safe and environmentally responsible manner

    + Embraces innovation

    + Deliver commitments

    + Proven problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment

    + Strong sense of accountability, urgency and independence

    + Good communication & presentation skills

    The following are preferred for the role

    + Technical knowledge in industrial equipment and chemical products

    + Project Management

    + Six-Sigma Black Belt, Lean Manufacturing, 5S experience

    + Process Safety Management

    + Automation and digitization skill set

    + Knowledge of instrumentation. (DCS, PHA, LOPA experience)

    + Root Cause Corrective Action training

     

    What We Offer:Base Pay Range: $115,000 - $168,850

     

    The actua l salary offered i s determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill set s, and geography. Local geographic pay differentials may not be reflected in the above pay range and will be discussed with you by a member of the HR team when applicable .     Additionally, this role is eligible for incentive or sales variable compensation payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company's incentive plans, the Company's financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.
