    Certified Nursing Assistant - Intermediate Critical Care

     

    Department: Intermediate Critical Care Unit

     

    Schedule: Part-Time, Night Shift (7pm - 7am) - 24 hours per week

     

    Our Intermediate Critical Care Unit is a 20 bed unit that specializes in stepdown care. We serve a population that includes but in not limited to sepsis, diabetes, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease with non-invasive respiratory support, stable tracheostomy tubes not requiring mechanical ventilation. Our preferred patient ratio is 3:1, sometimes flex to 4:1.

    What You'll Do

     

    The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides and documents assistance to patients with activities of daily living and maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.

     

    What We're Looking For

     

    + Education: High school diploma or GED required.

    + Experience: One year preferred. Assisted Living facilities only: One year experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required

    + Licensure/certification/registration: Completion of NAI program required. Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I required. Medication Safety - AME required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units required.

    + Additional skills preferred: Basic computer skills for documentation.
