Overview
Primarily responsible for implementing and managing CSC’s safety and compliance programs across all U.S. operations. This role partners closely with Operations leadership to execute the company’s safety strategy, ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT requirements, and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization. The position oversees safety data reporting, incident reviews, training compliance, and the administration of safety and driver programs
Key Responsibilities
Program Execution & Compliance
+ Administer and maintain safety programs that align with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, DOT, and other applicable standards.
+ Manage OSHA recordkeeping, including injury and illness logs (300, 300A, 301) and ensure timely submission of required reports.
+ Ensure timely and accurate reporting of safety metrics to management at all levels.
+ Partner with Operations leaders to lead efforts that reduce injury frequency, vehicle accidents, and overall risk exposure.
+ Oversee driver qualification files, motor vehicle record reviews, and DOT compliance tracking.
+ Act as liaison with regulatory agencies at the city, state, and federal levels regarding OSHA, DOT, fire, health, and safety matters.
Incident Management & Analysis
+ Review accident and injury reports to ensure timely investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
+ Conduct and assist in branch-level safety inspections and audits for unsafe acts and conditions; provide guidance on developing corrective action plans and verifying completion.
+ Partner with Operations leaders to conduct “lessons learned” reviews and share insights to prevent recurrence.
+ Support Workers’ Compensation claim management, collaborating with the claims and HR teams on timely documentation and follow-up.
Training, Vendors & Communication
+ Coordinate safety and driver training programs, ensuring completion and compliance across all business units.
+ Work with outside vendors such as training providers, PPE suppliers, and remediation specialists to support consistent, high-quality safety programs.
+ Develop and distribute monthly safety topics and communication materials for branch and field leaders.
+ Provide coaching and guidance to operations teams to reinforce safe behaviors and consistent execution.
Audits & Continuous Improvement
+ Conduct safety audits, inspections, and compliance reviews across branch locations and customer sites as needed.
+ Recommend corrective actions and monitor progress to completion.
+ Analyze safety performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
+ Stay current on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to strengthen CSC’s safety culture and compliance posture.

What we’re looking for
Required Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years of experience in occupational safety, DOT compliance, or risk management within service, logistics, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience supporting multiple field locations and influencing without direct authority.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or Certified Director of Safety (CDS).
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations.
• Ability to analyze safety data and identify actionable insights.
• Skilled in program administration, documentation, and reporting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and safety management systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Minimum Salary
USD $84,730.00/Yr.
Maximum Salary
USD $101,676.00/Yr.
