Job Purpose:
The primary focus of this job position is to enable better decision-making, continuous improvement efforts, and problem solving by providing timely support. This includes leading in the execution of high impact continuous improvement projects,
development/delivery of problem-solving training as well as mentoring/leading others in the continuous
improvement efforts/projects across the enterprise. This position will effectively be utilizing analytical techniques to identify connections, understanding complex data relationships, developing impactful dashboards and metrics for business performance optimization. Will be responsible for leading and identifying business process re-engineering opportunities and developing associated tools. The selected individual will also be expected to play a key role in bridging business needs with process improvement and technology solutions.

Education / Training:
BS mechanical or engineering degree;
3-5+ years of experience working in project planning, estimating, accounting, QMS, logistics, EHS and general management in many positions;

Key Job Elements:
• Plans, develops, and manages new project requirements, maintaining a safe and efficient workflow;
• Conduct research to develop new and/or improve existing processes within Wheel, Axle, Bearing and Parts facilities in terms of delivered results, safety, and quality;
• Testing and monitoring equipment;
• Updating current system processes;
• Conducting risk assessments;
• Developing and implementing process strategies;
• Designing and planning equipment layout;
• Managing process resources;
• Optimizing current processes;
• Maintaining process documents;
• Ensuring the smooth functioning of production lines;
• Coordinating process improvement projects;
• Focusing on designing, optimizing, and operating various industrial processes;
• Delegates daily duties to the workforce to keep current and upcoming projects on task;
• Administers internal and external material movements;
• Executes ERP system requirements;
• Provides weekly and monthly reports on project status; develops and maintains reporting for various stakeholders in current projects as required;
• Performs additional job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Training in Lean Manufacturing and Auditing;
• Understanding of various facets of the company: production supervision, supply chain, quality, engineering; HR, finance, etc.; ability to interface with support groups and understand how each function to manage team effectively;
• Project management experience; critical thinking and problem-solving skills; courage to make challenging decisions; understanding of production process and SOP’s;
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral;
• Ability to work together in a team environment; ability to manage a diverse workforce;
• Understanding of scheduling and manpower planning;
• Strong proficiency in software applications and ERP systems; strong proficiency with Excel and other MS Office tools.
